The story behind
Molina, according to DoReSol
The song Molina by Creedence Clearwater Revival has a duration of 2:44. It was part of the album Pendulum, the band's sixth studio effort, released by Fantasy Records on December 9, 1970. This record arrived just five months after Cosmo's Factory, marking an intense production pace for the group that year.
The recording of Pendulum took place at Wally Heider Studios in San Francisco and lasted for a month, which was a considerably long time by the band's standards. Before starting the sessions, there was a meeting where Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook, and Doug Clifford expressed their desire for more creative input, especially given the number of John Fogerty songs already released that same year on Cosmo's Factory. The idea was to go into the studio to improvise and explore new ideas, but this method did not generate any new compositions.
