The story behind
Mis noches sin ti, according to DoReSol
The melody of Mis noches sin ti, with its duration of 2 minutes and 54 seconds, evokes a feeling of longing that is built upon the music of Demetrio Ortiz and María Teresa Márquez. This piece, part of the singer's second self-titled album, was released in 1971 under the Polydor Records label, with the direction and production of José Luis Torregrosa.
The Spanish singer, whose real name was Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis, was born in Ayelo de Malferit, Valencia, in 1944. He grew up in the neighborhood of Sagunto, in Valencia, and from a very young age showed great admiration for artists like Luis Mariano. He took his first steps in music in groups like Los Hispánicos and Los Superson, performing at events and venues in the Valencian Community. In March 1969, his performance at the Teatro Principal in Valencia, where he performed covers of current hits, attracted critical attention, leading him to sign a record deal.
