Mi buen amor, according to DoReSol
When Gloria Estefan embarked on Mi Tierra, her third studio album, she sought to reconnect with her origins. This album, released on June 22, 1993, became a tribute to her Cuban roots, exploring genres such as bolero, danzón, and son music. The recording took place at Crescent Moon Studios in Miami, Florida, and featured the participation of renowned musicians such as Tito Puente, Arturo Sandoval, Cachao López, Chamin Correa, and Paquito D'Rivera, who contributed unparalleled sonic authenticity. The production was handled by her husband, Emilio Estefan.
Mi buen amor, with a duration of 3:50, is one of the pieces that make up this project. The music was created by Fabio E. Salgado. The recording process involved engineers such as Charles Dye, Patrice Wilkison Levinsohn, Frank Miret, Eric Schilling, and Ron Taylor. The album Mi Tierra achieved considerable international success, selling over five million copies worldwide. In the United States, it was the first album to reach the top of the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart, remaining at number one for 58 weeks, a record that lasted until 2021.
