The story behind
La firma del opa, according to DoReSol
In La firma del opa, Divididos presents a piece that, in just one minute and fifty-six seconds, condenses a particular energy. The music, born from the collaboration between Diego Arnedo and Ricardo Mollo, unfolds with a force that invites immersion in its sound. This track is part of Narigón del siglo, the band's sixth studio album, which was released on March 15, 2000.
The recording of Narigón del siglo took place at Abbey Road studios, a place with its own history in music. For this work, the band had the contribution of Afo Verde as producer, while the mixing was handled by Chris Brown and Alex Scannell. The album's graphic design, including drawings by bassist Diego Arnedo, was done by Alejandro Ros. Ricardo Mollo himself explained that the title Narigón del siglo referred to those who, in his view, marked the decades of the 80s and 90s, alluding to people considered liars or cocaine users.
