The story behind
La casa por la ventana, according to DoReSol
The song *La casa por la ventana* is one of those pieces that, although it did not reach the peaks of popularity of other works, achieved good sales performance and generated positive comments. The singer-songwriter was at a moment of maturity, both personally and professionally, and was facing the challenge of creating an album that would match or surpass his previous work, *Física y química*. To achieve this, as was his custom, he relied on his usual collaborators, Pancho Varona and Antonio García de Diego, who were responsible for most of the arrangements.
Joaquín Ramón Martínez Sabina, born in Úbeda, Jaén, on February 12, 1949, is an artist with a consolidated career in the Spanish-speaking world. Throughout his career, he has released fourteen studio albums, four live albums, and three compilations, in addition to having shared duets and collaborations with other musicians. His talent also extends to composing for other artists, such as Ana Belén or Miguel Ríos. The live albums record his performances, either solo or accompanied, as in the cases of *La mandrágora* (1981) with Javier Krahe and Alberto Pérez, or *Joaquín Sabina y Viceversa en directo* (1986) with the band Viceversa. Also noteworthy are *Nos sobran los motivos* (2000), *Dos pájaros de un tiro* (2007), and *La orquesta del Titanic* (2012), the latter with Joan Manuel Serrat. In his literary facet, he has shared nine books that compile song lyrics or poems, some of them previously published in the weekly magazine *Interviú*. In 2001, a minor cerebral infarction marked a turning point, leading him to a period of reflection and recovery, after which he released *Dímelo en la calle* (2002) and later *Alivio de luto* (2005). His latest solo album to date is *Vinagre y rosas*, released on November 17, 2009, which achieved significant sales in its first month. The duration of *La casa por la ventana* is 4:25.
