The story behind

Lucio Dalla recorded La bambina (L'inverno è neve, l'estate è sole) in 1973, within a album called Il giorno aveva cinque teste. It was the fourth studio album of Dalla, published in April that year by RCA Italiana. At that time, he stopped working with Sergio Bardotti and Gianfranco Baldazzi, who had written almost all his songs until then, and started collaborating with poet Roberto Roversi. This decision marked an important change in his career. The song lasts three minutes and is heard as a simple story, with images of nature and a voice that seems to tell something personal. The lyrics speak of a girl, winter and summer, like it were a song of memories or love.
