The story behind
It's Just the Way, according to DoReSol
In It's Just the Way, the Bee Gees present a melody that, while part of an album with a distinctive sound, possesses a quality that makes it special within their work. The song, with a duration of 2 minutes and 34 seconds, is integrated into the group's ninth studio album, titled Trafalgar. This record, released in September 1971 in the United States and in November in the United Kingdom, marked a particular moment in the Gibb brothers' career. The context of Trafalgar is interesting. The album was produced by the Bee Gees themselves along with Robert Stigwood. Although the lead single, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?, reached the top spot on the US charts, the album itself had moderate success in that country, reaching number 34.
In the United Kingdom, however, it did not have a prominent presence on the charts. Despite this, Trafalgar was later recognized by being included in the list of 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. The Bee Gees, made up of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, were born on the Isle of Man and spent their early years in England before moving to Australia in the late 1950s, where they began their musical career. They returned to the United Kingdom in 1967, and under the promotion of Robert Stigwood, they began to gain international recognition.
