The story behind
When you dive into *Io vivrò (senza te)*, you encounter a piece that, despite its apparent simplicity, holds interesting details. The song, with music by Lucio Battisti and lyrics by Mogol, was originally released in 1968 in Italy as the B-side of a single. What's particular is that the main theme of that single, *La mia canzone per Maria*, was a new release, while *Io vivrò (senza te)* had already had a previous appearance. Months earlier, the group Rokes had released a version of this very song, and Battisti himself participated in that recording playing the organ. Both compositions ended up being part of Lucio Battisti's first album, and *Io vivrò (senza te)* also found its place on the album *Emozioni*.
There is also a curious fact about a demo version of *Io vivrò (senza te)*, made by I Fuggiaschi. This recording, which was made a month before Battisti's version, remained unreleased until the year 2000, when it was included in a compilation by On Sale Music. The duration of Battisti's performance is 3 minutes and 55 seconds.
