The story behind
I Get Along Without You Very Well, according to DoReSol
Chet Baker recorded this song in 1954, on his album called Chet Baker Sings. The lyrics are based on a poem by Jane Brown Thompson, whose name remained secret for a long time. Carmichael, the composer, received it unsigned and only mentioned it as "J.B." until years later it was discovered that it was her. The song became popular thanks to versions by other artists, but the Baker made it his own. His voice gives it a soft touch, as if he were talking to the people he knows. The song lasts three minutes, and on Last.fm it has a lot of people listening.
