The song (I Could Never) Give You Up was recorded during an intense period of work between March and September 1988. The recording process took place in two studios: EMI Studios in Stockholm and Trident II Studios in London. The mixing of the song involved Marie Fredriksson, Per Gessle, Clarence Öfwerman, and Alar Suurna, who was also responsible for the recording engineering.
