The story behind

Jamiroquai released Hooked Up in 1993, as part of their first album Emergency on Planet Earth. The song is an example of how they blend funk, acid jazz and soul. The idea came when Jay Kay was writing songs for different companies. He was inspired by philosophies of indigenous peoples and his frustration with the elephant hunting on TV.
