The story behind
Hazlos reír, according to DoReSol
Pedro Guerra released a song called Hazlos reír that lasts one minute and forty-seven seconds. He recorded it live in December 1994 at a cinema in Madrid, the Cinearte. It was part of his first solo album, Golosinas, which came out after he ended his collaboration with Taller Canario. In that album, he moved away from the political and advocacy lyrics he usually wrote before, and focused on more personal themes, such as Biografía or Dos mil recuerdos. He also got closer to cinema, something he hadn't done before. Regarding the sound, he returned to simpler songs, with guitar and little more. The song Hazlos reír became one of the most well-known in his repertoire.
