The story behind
Hay mil maneras de derrotar a un hombre, according to DoReSol
Pedro Guerra wrote There are a thousand ways to defeat a man as part of his album Golosinas, his first solo album. It was recorded live in December 1994 at the Cinearte in Madrid. The song differs from his previous work in Taller Canario, where the lyrics were more political and the melodies mixed Canarian folklore with rock. Here, the focus is more personal, with stories of life and references to cinema. The sound is simpler, acoustic, sometimes just with guitar and a bit of background band. The song lasts four minutes and six seconds, and on Last.fm it has over 6,000 plays.
