The story behind

Guilty, according to DoReSol

The song Guilty, with its 2:21 runtime, is featured on the live album *One Night Only*, a recording that captures the energy of the Bee Gees at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 14, 1997. This concert, spanning hits from several decades, from the sixties to the nineties, was originally released on CD and DVD, although the DVD version presents the full show uncut. A 1999 reissue added an extra CD with songs omitted from the first edition, and in 2013, Eagle Rock Entertainment re-released the material in Blu-ray format, improving audio quality. The album's cover art, on both CD and DVD, evokes the iconic pose of the brothers in the film *Saturday Night Fever*.

The Bee Gees, founded in 1958, were known for their distinctive vocal harmonies. Brothers Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, and Maurice Gibb, born on the Isle of Man and raised in Manchester, England, before moving to Australia, wrote and produced much of their own material, as well as collaborating on hits for other artists. While they enjoyed a period of great popularity in the late sixties and early seventies, they reached a new peak of fame as disco music icons in the late seventies. The group's signature sound evolved, moving from Robin's vibrato in their early days to Barry's falsetto that defined their later period. The producers of Guilty were Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Robin Gibb themselves.
