The story behind

Get It Hot, according to DoReSol

The song *Get It Hot* by AC/DC, with its raw and direct energy, encapsulates the essence of the sound the band was honing in those years. The music was conceived by Angus Young, Bon Scott, and Malcolm Young, who managed to capture an unmistakable power in just 2 minutes and 34 seconds. The work of Kevin Dallimore as recording engineer and the mixing by Tony Platt were fundamental to capturing that intensity, under the production of Robert John “Mutt” Lange.

This track is part of the album Highway to Hell, released in July 1979 by Albert Productions and Atlantic Records. It was a crucial moment for the Australian band, as this record marked the first collaboration with producer Mutt Lange and, sadly, would be the last to feature the vocals of Bon Scott, who passed away in February 1980. By 1978, AC/DC had already toured Australia and Europe, and upon arriving in the United States, they began to gain followers despite limited radio play. Albums like Let There Be Rock (1977) and Powerage (1978) had already consolidated their blues-based hard rock style, and the live album If You Want Blood had reached number 13 in the United Kingdom.
