The story behind

The song Espantapájaros, with its 4:00 minute duration, is included in Quién Dijo Ayer, a compilation album by Ricardo Arjona released in 2007. This work marked his farewell to Sony Music before joining Warner Music Group. What's interesting about this project is that it not only brought together past hits but also featured renewed versions of those songs, exploring different musical styles and incorporating collaborations with artists such as Panteón Rococó, Marc Anthony, Fernando Otero, Sandro, Marta Sánchez, and Eros Ramazzotti. The production of this album was handled by Arjona himself, along with Tommy Torres, Dan Warner, and Lee Levin.

Ricardo Arjona Morales, born in Jocotenango, Guatemala, in 1964, is a singer-songwriter with a career spanning genres from ballads to Latin pop and rock. Known for his lyrics that often address social and love themes, he has sold millions of records and is a prominent figure in Latin America. By 2011, his discography included thirteen studio albums, one live album, nine compilations, and forty-three singles. Several of his albums reached the top spot on major charts like the Billboard Top Latin Albums in the United States and Argentina, and some singles also topped the Billboard Top Latin Songs chart.
