The story behind

The first impression of Entre Caníbales comes with an entrance of guitars that unfold in stereo, creating an atmosphere that invites us to delve into the piece. The lyrics begin with a declaration of waiting, "I waited an eternity for this moment," setting the tone for what is to come. As the song progresses, a sonic transformation occurs: during the guitar solo, the key shifts from E minor to G minor, a detail that adds depth to the musical structure. This track, like other compositions on the album, was dedicated to Paola Antonucci. A version of this song was not included in the reunion tour Me Verás Volver in 2007. Furthermore, the piece has a connection to the small screen, serving as the main theme for the Argentine telenovela Entre Caníbales, which premiered in 2015. Interestingly, Gustavo Cerati reused a fragment from the beginning of Entre Caníbales to create the instrumental piece "+Bien," part of the soundtrack for the film of the same name released in 2001.

Entre Caníbales is part of Canción Animal, the fifth studio album by Soda Stereo, released in 1990. The recording of this album took place at Criteria Recording Studios in Miami, Florida, during June and July of that same year, with production by Gustavo Cerati and Zeta Bosio. The album, released by Sony Music Latin, is recognized for its sound and has left a significant mark not only on Argentine rock but on the entire Latin American rock scene. The duration of this song is 4 minutes and 9 seconds. It can also be found on the album Comfort y música para volar.
