The story behind
In *Californication*, the seventh album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, we find the song Easily. This piece, which lasts 3:51, was not released as a single nor did it have an associated music video, but its lyrics tell us about a love story, where the title seems to allude to that feeling of ease one experiences when in love. The music was created by Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, Flea, and John Frusciante.
The recording of Californication, which was released on June 8, 1999, was handled by Rick Rubin and published by Warner Bros. Records. This album marked the return of John Frusciante to the guitar, taking the place of Dave Navarro. This change brought about an evolution in the band's sound, moving away from the proposal of One Hot Minute (1995). While the album explores themes such as lust, death, and reflections on suicide and drugs, it also contains songs that became hits, such as Around the World, Otherside, Californication, and Scar Tissue. The band, formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, California, is characterized by fusing traditional funk with rap, pop rock, heavy metal, rock, and punk, being considered pioneers of punk funk.
