The story behind

When the Bee Gees released And the Sun Will Shine in 1968, the song was presented as a France-exclusive single. The lead vocals are by Robin Gibb, and its style places it within rock ballads and pop rock, exploring themes of loneliness. It is a piece that the band used to include in their concerts, often forming part of a medley in the middle of the show. Interestingly, it was the first time a Bee Gees song was heard on United States television, on February 4, 1968, during their appearance on the show "The Smothers Brothers". The recording of that performance was used as a promotional video for the song.

Later, in 1969, the artist José Feliciano recorded his own interpretation of And the Sun Will Shine, managing to reach number 25 on the UK charts. The production of this piece was handled by the Bee Gees themselves along with Robert Stigwood. The group, founded in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, was characterized by its distinctive vocal harmonies. While they achieved success throughout their careers, two moments of great impact were their pop phase in the late sixties and early seventies, and their peak in the disco era in the late seventies. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, spent their early years in Manchester, England, and then moved to Australia in the late fifties, where they began their musical journey. After their first success in Australia with Spicks and Specks, they returned to the United Kingdom in January 1967, where Robert Stigwood began to drive their international projection.
