The story behind
Amanecer, according to DoReSol
The melody of Amanecer, with its 3:38 duration, evokes a sense of openness and hope, as if the music itself were unfolding before the listener. Composed by José Luis Armenteros and Pablo Herrero, this piece is included in the second self-titled studio album by Nino Bravo, released in 1971. Under the direction and production of José Luis Torregrosa, the album, published by the Polydor Records label, contained other notable songs such as Puerta de amor and Mis noches sin ti, but Amanecer stands out as a particular moment within the work.
Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis, known artistically as Nino Bravo, was born in 1944 in Ayelo de Malferit, Valencia, and his life was tragically cut short in 1973 in Villarrubio. During his short but intense career, he was recognized for possessing an exceptional voice within the Spanish pop scene of the late sixties and early seventies. His style, which fused standard interpretation with the pop trends of the time, captivated a wide audience, not only for the quality of his material but, fundamentally, for the power and uniqueness of his vocal range, which clearly distinguished him from other artists. From a young age, influenced by figures such as Luis Mariano and later by Tom Jones, Nino Bravo took his first musical steps in groups like Los Hispánicos and Los Superson, performing in venues in the Valencian Community. In 1969, his performance at the Teatro Principal in Valencia, interpreting covers of current hits, earned him critical acclaim and led him to sign a record deal.
