Diaframma

Diaframma started in Florence, in the 70s and early 80s. It was Federico Fiumani who started it, playing guitar and singing. He was accompanied by Nicola Vannini, also in vocals, but in 1984 he left and Miro Sassolini joined.

The band's first album, Siberia, came out in 1984. It was the one that was heard the most, the one that was recorded the most. Their sound moved between dark wave, new wave, post-punk, rock gothic and rock alternative. It wasn't just one style, it was a mix that moved between shadows and lights.

Biography

The band never stayed still. Every time they played, they did it with an energy that wasn't repeated. It wasn't the same concert as another. What they did was a bit of everything, but always with a base that set them apart.
