The Romantic

Bruno Mars's The Romantic arrived in February 2026, marking his return to the music scene as a solo artist after a considerable time. This album represents his fourth solo studio work, and the first since 24K Magic in 2016. Prior to this release, Mars was immersed in the collaborative project An Evening with Silk Sonic alongside Anderson .Paak in 2021, and also participated in various high-profile collaborations during 2024 and 2025. The gestation of The Romantic began to take shape in 2023, with Mars working on new musical ideas alongside collaborators such as Brody Brown, Philip Lawrence, and James Fauntleroy. By 2024, D'Mile joined the process, and in 2025, Andrew Watt and Andrew Wyatt also confirmed their participation in some songs. The album was officially announced in January 2026, revealing its title, artwork, and release date, with the first single, I Just Might, arriving shortly after.
