Alma en Peña

When Salamandra met at the old Ypacaraí train station back in August 2000, the idea was to create something with roots. The name, inspired by the small creatures that inhabited the place, already marked an aesthetic path. By 2004, they already had a demo and an EP called Cianuro on the street, which included songs like “Té de Cianuro” and “Estás,” which over time became a fundamental part of their sound. A year later, their participation in the "Quiero tocar en Pilsen Rock" contest opened doors to important festivals and led them to tour stages in Paraguay, Argentina, and Mexico, laying the groundwork for their projection.

About the album

Alma en Peña, according to DoReSol

The year 2010 marked the arrival of their first studio album, Todo en tu cabeza, where they consolidated a proposal that fused rock with folk influences. It was followed by Salamandra acústico in 2011, a work that managed to capture the closeness and warmth of their live performances. Then came Vamos de gira in 2013 and, in 2015, Alma en peña. From the latter, the track “Solito” resonated strongly on the radio and digital platforms, showing the band's ability to connect with the audience. In 2017 they released El inconsciente roba discos, and their fifth album, Corazón de hierro, saw the light in October 2022, produced by Matias Mendez "El Chávez" and recorded in Ciudad Nueva.
