About the album
Agua Para El Mar, according to DoReSol
Upon returning to Paraguay in the year 2000, they released their debut album, Al Natural. This work had an immediate connection with people, and a large part of that success was due to their reinterpretation of *Kurusu Vera*. The band gave a rocky twist to this guarania, which was originally written by Rubén P. Olivera and Américo Francisco Cabrera. This particular version ended up being featured in the short film *Amor Basura*, by Juan Carlos Maneglia and Tana Schémbori, giving it extra visibility.
The sound of Paiko, from its beginnings, was defined by a fresh fusion that took pop rock as a base and added Latin American rhythms. That stylistic breadth, combined with shows that transmitted a lot of vitality, quickly positioned them as an influential band on the Paraguayan scene. They managed to have many of their songs constantly played on the radio, demonstrating a lasting connection with their audience.
