The story behind
Train, according to DoReSol
The song Train by 4 Non Blondes, with a duration of 3:44, is one of the tracks included in the band's only studio album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!. This record, released on October 13, 1992, became a milestone for the American Alternative Rock group. The album reached platinum status in the United States, selling 1.5 million copies in that country alone and reaching a total of 6 million worldwide.
Before Train, the band had already made a significant impact with singles such as Dear Mr. President, a song that, according to bassist Christa Hillhouse, addressed power structures and government. Later, What's Up? reached number 1 in multiple territories and earned gold certification in the United States, solidifying 4 Non Blondes' presence in the music scene. The leader and vocalist, Linda Perry, who began her musical career with this group in 1995, continued her solo career and stood out as a producer for artists like Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, and Pink. In 1995, the band also contributed a cover of Misty Mountain Hop for the tribute album Encomium, dedicated to Led Zeppelin.
