The story behind
Todo pasa, according to DoReSol
The song Todo pasa by La Mosca Tsé-Tsé stands out for its contagious energy and optimistic message. With a duration of 4:49, this piece captures the essence of Argentine ska, a genre that combines joyful rhythms with lyrics that invite reflection. The story behind the band is equally interesting: La Mosca was formed in 1995, but its roots go back to the 1990s, when a group called La Reggae & Roll Band began playing in Ramallo. This context of camaraderie and musical exploration was fundamental to the development of their style.
The current lineup of La Mosca was solidified in March 1995, when Fernando Castro, one of the founders of La Reggae, invited Guillermo Novellis to join as the lead vocalist. Guillermo’s inclusion was an unexpected turn, as they were initially looking for a different singer. With the return of El Pety Cortagerena, the band adopted the name "La Mosca" as a nod to a local card game, and later added "Tsé-Tsé" to differentiate themselves, inspired by an African fly. This creative process and the fusion of influences are reflected in the vibrant sound of Todo pasa, which invites listeners to enjoy the music and remember that, despite hardships, everything has its moment and eventually passes.
