The story behind

This song, Tan joven y tan viejo, presents us with a vivid image of the duality we sometimes feel when growing up, that feeling of having lived a lot yet still feeling immature. The piece's duration, 4:16, gives us just enough time to immerse ourselves in the reflection that Joaquín Sabina captures with his characteristic style.

Born in Úbeda, Jaén, in 1949, Joaquín Sabina has established himself as a benchmark in Spanish-language music. Throughout his career, he has released a considerable number of works, including fourteen studio albums, four live recordings, and three compilations. His ability to collaborate with other artists is notable, having shared microphones in duets and other participations. In addition to his own discography, he has composed for figures such as Ana Belén and Miguel Ríos. His live albums capture special moments, such as La mandrágora in 1981, with Javier Krahe and Alberto Pérez, or Joaquín Sabina y Viceversa en directo from 1986, with the band Viceversa. Later, Nos sobran los motivos arrived in 2000, followed by Dos pájaros de un tiro in 2007 and La orquesta del Titanic in 2012, the latter shared with Joan Manuel Serrat. In his literary facet, he has published nine books, many of them compilations of his lyrics and poems that appeared in Interviú magazine. In 2001, a health incident led him to a period of reflection and recovery, which influenced his perspective and prompted him to take a temporary break from the stage. After overcoming this ordeal, he returned with Dímelo en la calle in 2002, and subsequently released Alivio de luto in 2005. His latest solo work to date is Vinagre y rosas, released in 2009, which received excellent commercial reception.
