The story behind

Divididos recorded it in 1993 at a pivotal moment for Argentine rock: the country had been through years of social and political change, and the band was seeking a sound that reflected that raw energy. "Pestaña de camello" is one of those tracks that, in less than a minute and a half, captures that essence. It’s not a long or structurally complex song, but its brevity is part of its strength: a sharp blow that enters and exits without detours, as if every note were calculated to avoid distraction. The version we hear today was born in the studio with Aníbal Kerpel and Gustavo Santaolalla at the helm of production, while Danny Alonso and Tony Peluso polished the sound in the mix. There are no unnecessary fillers: the guitar of Ricardo Mollo and the bass of Diego Arnedo converse in a rhythm that recalls those moments when music seems to breathe in sync with the country. The title, which evokes something small but irritating—like an eyelash that won’t stop bothering—contrasts with the power of the performance, as if the band had wanted to play with that duality: the minimal can be forceful.
