In Monsieur Lenoble, the voice of Édith Piaf takes us through a 3-minute and 28-second piece, a sound fragment that adds to a legacy of Francophone songs that have transcended borders. Born as Édith Giovanna Gassion in Paris, France, on December 19, 1915, her artistic career established her as one of the most recognized voices of the 20th century.
Known in her early days as «La Môme Piaf», her repertoire includes songs that resonate to this day, such as La vie en rose, Non, je ne regrette rien, Hymne à l'amour, Mon légionnaire, La Foule, and Milord. Beyond her facet as a singer, Piaf also explored the world of acting, participating in various film and theater productions. Her influence extended to other artists, whom she supported and guided, contributing to the development of international careers. She passed away in Plascassier, near Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes region, between October 10 and 11, 1963.
