Los Mocosos is one of those songs that encapsulates the essence of Los Piojos' debut album, titled Chactuchac. Recorded between June and August 1992 at Del Cielito Studios, this debut album collects the compositions the band had been performing live since 1988. The song, lasting five minutes, reflects a sound that blends eighties reminiscences with a more modern and suburban style, creating a unique and vibrant sonic atmosphere.
The album, which was reissued in 2007 by El Farolito Discos, features a variety of themes that address marginality and everyday life, with lyrics that evoke characters from an urban world. Los Mocosos, along with other songs like Cancheros and Cruel, fits into a musical narrative that, while rooted in rock, also plays with elements of Argentine culture.
