The song, which is part of the 2019 album Hot Pink, was written by them along with Theron Thomas, Lydia Asrat and David Sprecher. Production was handled by Dr. Luke and Mike Crook. Although it was initially just an album track, on May 12, 2020 it was released as a single, driven by the frenzy it caused on social media.
