For The First Time

When John Legend embarked on creating his fifth studio album, *Love in the Future*, the process of shaping it took considerable time. After collaborating on the project *Wake Up!* with The Roots in 2010, the singer dedicated his energy to this new material. The result, released on August 30, 2013, under the labels GOOD Music and Columbia Records, featured executive production by Legend himself, alongside Kanye West and Dave Tozer.

This album, which includes the song *For the First Time* lasting 5 minutes and 12 seconds, was not alone. It was supported by four main singles: *Who Do We Think We Are*, *Made to Love*, *All of Me*, and *You & I (Nobody in the World)*. To enrich the sound proposal, Legend invited artists such as Kimbra, Rick Ross, Stacy Barthe, and Seal to collaborate. The reception from specialized critics was mostly positive, and the album reached number 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 68,000 copies in its first week of release.
