The story behind

Domingo De Bajón, according to DoReSol

The first time I heard Domingo De Bajón, I was left with the feeling that the guitar wasn’t just accompanying the song, but telling its own story. The track begins with a clean, sustained chord that gradually fades away, as if time itself were stretching before the drums kick in with a sharp strike. There’s something in that initial silence that foreshadows what’s to come: a melody that plays with the contrast between intimacy and expansiveness, never losing the song’s pulse. What’s most intriguing is how the chorus, with its shift in dynamics, makes the listener feel that emotional high that only comes from songs recorded with open strings and well-placed microphones.

This track is part of Ya Es Mañana, the fifth studio album by Morat, released in late May 2025. According to the band, the album emerged from months of touring and the need to capture in the studio that energy which only comes alive when instruments are played live, without last-minute tweaks. Before its official release, the band invited a select group of fans to a listening party at Movistar Arena, where the audience could hear these songs for the first time in a space designed to feel the music unfiltered. Domingo De Bajón, at two minutes and fifty-six seconds, is one of those tracks that proves why rock remains a universal language: direct, unadorned, yet deep enough that every chord invites you to linger a little longer.
