The story behind
Day’s Dawning, according to DoReSol
The song *Day's Dawning* by Peter Frampton, with its duration of 3 minutes and 55 seconds, is from the album of the same name, released in 1975. This record, the fourth in his solo career, saw the light of day at a key moment for the British musician. Although this album contains songs like *Show Me the Way* and *Baby, I Love Your Way*, which would achieve great notoriety in their later live performances, *Day's Dawning* is part of that consolidation stage. The album itself managed to position itself at number 32 on the Billboard 200 chart, showing the growing attention that Frampton's musical proposal generated.
Peter Frampton, born in Beckenham, London, in 1950, already had a distinguished career before this release. He initially became known as part of The Herd, where he became a teen idol in Great Britain. He was a pioneer in the use of the talk box, a technique that would later be adopted by other renowned guitarists. Subsequently, he was part of Humble Pie with Steve Marriott, and also collaborated with artists such as Harry Nilsson and George Harrison. His solo career officially began in 1972 with the album *Wind of Change*. The true explosion of his career came with the live album *Frampton Comes Alive*, which included hits like *Do You Feel Like We Do*, *Baby, I Love Your Way*, and *Show Me the Way*, consolidating itself as one of the best-selling live albums in history.
