The story behind
Corazón contento, according to DoReSol
When a topic becomes so well-known, we sometimes forget the details that made it shine. *Corazón contento*, or as it is also known, *I have a happy heart*, is a clear example. The piece was born from the pen and voice of the Argentine artist Palito Ortega, and its release almost at the same time as Marisol's version in 1968 marked a particular moment. It is interesting to think that the song was not only released as a single in Spain, but also gave its name to a film starring Ortega himself, which premiered the following year.
The popularity of *Corazón contento* in Spain, boosted by Marisol, led it to occupy the top sales positions and become a recurring element in television programs such as *Galas del sábado*. It even had its place on the big screen in the film *El taxi de los conflictos*, directed by José Luis Sáenz de Heredia. The connection between both artists was strengthened with a duet performance for TVE. Over time, this composition has continued to resonate, appearing on the soundtrack of the series *Cuéntame cómo pasó* and in films such as *Perdona bonita, pero Lucas me quería a mí* (1997) and *Balada triste de trompeta* (2010), by Álex de la Iglesia.
