The story behind
All'infuori del tempo, according to DoReSol
In the sound universe of Felona e Sorona, published in 1973, we find All'infuori del tempo, a piece that unfolds with a duration of 4 minutes and 9 seconds. This work by the Italian group Le Orme is conceived as a conceptual narrative, exploring the dichotomy between two opposing worlds. On one hand, Felona, an imaginary space that evokes the serenity of love, harmony, and stability, bathed in sunlight. Opposite, Sorona, a realm plunged into darkness, marked by chaos and disharmony.
The album's opening immerses us in an extensive instrumental section, where synthesizers take center stage. The keyboard parts intertwine in a melodic fabric reminiscent of counterpoint, laying the groundwork for the sonic narrative that will unfold. This initial suite, which encapsulates the story visually represented on the two sides of the record, culminates in an imposing atmosphere, leading into Ritorno al nulla.
