The story behind

The song All God’s People, with its 3:55 duration, is part of Innuendo, Queen's fourteenth studio album. This work was recorded between March 1989 and November 1990, and was the last to be released while Freddie Mercury was still alive. The album had a strong reception, reaching number one on the UK charts for two weeks, and also topped sales in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland for periods of three, four, six, and eight weeks respectively. In the United States, it was Queen's first album to achieve Gold certification since The Works in 1984.

The production of Innuendo was handled by David Richards along with the band itself. The context of the band, formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, already had notable successes such as Sheer Heart Attack (1974) and A Night at the Opera (1975), which opened the doors to the international music scene for them. Although the band has seen the departure of two of its members, Mercury in 1991 and the retirement of John Deacon, the artistic partnership remained active. Their recognition in the United States was consolidated in the mid-80s, after having accumulated an important catalog of hits.
