Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan doesn't sound like an artist trying to fit into a mold. His music blends a clean, melodic voice with arrangements that range from intimate to danceable, always with a rhythmic pulse that invites movement. In his early works, like the EP TRXYE (2014), his ability to craft songs that sound like both a confession and a party was already evident. The single "Happy Little Pill" proved he could reach a wide audience without losing that personal essence: a catchy melody with an emotional weight that doesn't get diluted in mainstream pop.

The interesting part is how that sound evolved when he released Blue Neighbourhood (2015). The album not only solidified him as a chart figure —"Youth" was his first hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40— but also marked a shift in his working method. The songs here have layers of production that range from acoustic to electronic, but without ever losing sight of the narrative. It's not an album that sounds like a calculated product; rather, it seems to be the result of trying different paths until finding the balance between commercial appeal and authenticity.

More about Troye Sivan

Biography

With Bloom (2018), Sivan took that balance to another level. The album reached number three in Australia and number four in the United States, but what was most striking was how his single "My My My!" became an anthem on the dance floor. Here, the artist showed he could play with darker, more synthetic sounds without losing his identity. And in 2023, with Something to Give Each Other, he took another step: the album debuted at number one on the ARIA chart, and tracks like "Rush" and "Got Me Started" earned him three Grammy nominations.

Offstage, Sivan has also made his mark. In 2017, at 22 years old, he received the GLAAD Stephen F. Kolzak Award, becoming the youngest recipient of that award. And although his acting career —from X-Men Origins: Wolverine to The Idol— often steals the spotlight, it is in music where his evolution is truly noticeable: from the stages of Channel Seven Perth Telethon to filling venues worldwide, always with that blend of vulnerability and energy that defines him.
