Biography
FanMail in 1999 was different. It wasn’t just another album: it was a love letter to their fans, written in songs like "No Scrubs," which became their most enduring anthem. The trio was no longer three, but two after the death of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in 2002, yet that didn’t stop them. In 2005, they took a gamble on something new: a reality show where the prize was recording with them, an experiment that merged music with television at a time when no one quite knew how to do it. In 2017, they returned with a self-titled album, but their true legacy remained in those moments when R&B made them immortal. They sold over 65 million records without needing to reinvent themselves every year: just with songs that still sound as current as ever.
