Passenger

Passenger was an alternative metal band that emerged as a side project of the vocalist Anders Fridén, known for his work with the Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames. The formation of Passenger took place in 1995, when Patrik Sten and Niklas Engelin decided to create a band with a different style than their main projects. Initially, the group was called "Cliff" and under this name they recorded two demos at the Studio Fredman. After a break from their activities, Niklas Engelin, who had participated as a live member of In Flames during the Whoracle tour, invited Anders Fridén to join Passenger. In the year 2000, the band resumed their activities and produced a demo.

The following year, in 2001, they recorded another demo that included covers of the songs "Used", "In My Head", "Circus" and "Drowning City". Later, they released their first album titled Passenger, for which a music video was made for the song "In Reverse".In February 2004, Patrik Sten announced on his website that they were working on their second album. However, Anders Fridén, who leads vocals for both In Flames and Passenger, mentioned that his commitments with In Flames left him little time to dedicate to Passenger, leading the band to an indefinite break. Later, in an interview, Fridén confirmed that he planned to take a break from In Flames to start recording the second album of Passenger, which was expected to be completed by 2010.
