Ofenbach

The sound of Ofenbach is built on electronic foundations with an organic touch, that balance that makes their tracks sound both danceable and deep at the same time. Their music doesn’t sound like a repetitive loop, but rather like layers that intertwine until forming a rhythm that hooks effortlessly. The Parisian duo, made up of Dorian Lo and César de Rummel, found in electronic music a language of their own, but with a nuance that recalls those influences that shaped their adolescence: the rock of Supertramp or Los Rolling Stones, where melodies are not mere adornments, but the backbone of the song.

It all started in a garage in Paris, when they were still teenagers and Lo’s father encouraged them to form a band. The curious thing is that, before dedicating themselves to electronic music, they tried their luck with rock, a genre that left its mark on their way of composing. The duo’s name came from an unexpected discovery: a score by the French composer Jacques Offenbach in their home, a nod that ended up defining their identity. But the real leap came when they left acoustic instruments behind and embraced synthesizers, a change that led them to collaborations with names like Robin Schulz or Tiësto, figures who opened doors for them in the global scene.

More about Ofenbach

Biography

Their first major moment arrived with "Be Mine", a track that not only became their calling card, but also a phenomenon in Eastern Europe. The single, released in 2017 under the Warner France label, not only reached number 1 in Russia and Poland, but also made it onto lists like the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay, proving that their formula—mixing electronic music with melodic touches—had international reach. But the duo didn’t stop there: that same year, with "Katchi" in collaboration with Nick Waterhouse, they once again demonstrated their ability to blend styles, this time taking their sound to the top of the French Singles Chart, where they reached position four. Between remixes for artists like Bob Sinclar or James Hype, and original tracks like "Around The Fire" or "You Do Not Know Me", Ofenbach has built a career where the danceable and the memorable go hand in hand.
