Noah Kahan

Noah Kahan doesn’t sound like anyone else. His music blends folk with touches of pop and rock, but what makes him unique is that way of telling stories that feel both intimate and universal. From his early SoundCloud recordings to the albums that took him to the top, his sound evolved between acoustic guitars and lyrics that speak of roots, journeys, and everyday emotions. The riff of "Hurt Somebody" — the track that launched him — sounds like something you already knew, but with a twist that makes it fresh. It’s not just a catchy song: it’s the kind of track that, once you play it, will keep running through your head for days.

The leap to the mainstream wasn’t immediate. Before signing with Republic Records in 2017, he spent years uploading songs online and playing small venues. But the real turning point came when, in the middle of the pandemic, he locked himself in a home studio in Vermont for a week and recorded Cape Elizabeth. That EP, made in record time, gave him a lifeline when the world stood still. Then came Stick Season, his third album, which catapulted him into the mainstream not because of a single hit, but because of a sound that resonated with millions. The song that gave the album its name, "Stick Season", went viral on TikTok even before its official release, and by the time it arrived, it was already part of pop culture.

Biography

Busyhead (2019) was his first full-length album, but it was Stick Season (2022) that put him on the map. Produced by Gabe Simon, the record features 14 tracks ranging from melancholic folk to more energetic rhythms, like "Dial Drunk" with Post Malone. The extended version of the album, Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever), added collaborations with artists like Lizzy McAlpine and Kacey Musgraves, showcasing his versatility. In 2023, his name appeared among the Grammy nominees for Best New Artist, and in 2026 he released The Great Divide, an album that broke records in vinyl sales and streams for a debut on the Billboard 200. Now, with his first stadium tour, he’s no longer just a name on the radio: he’s an artist defining an era.
