Feid

From Medellín, Colombia, emerges a sound that has been defining the urban landscape. Feid, whose real name is Salomón Villada Hoyos, has not only established himself as a performer but has also demonstrated remarkable skill as a songwriter and producer. Before his own name resonated strongly, his talent was already behind hits for other artists. Songs like *Secretos* by Reykon, *Ginza* by J Balvin, and *Mamita* by CNCO—all key tracks that climbed the Billboard *Hot Latin Songs* chart—bear his signature in their composition. This ability to create melodies and structures that resonate with audiences laid the foundation for his own career.

The year 2017 marked a turning point with the release of his debut album, Así como suena. This work, which included collaborations with J Balvin and Nacho, not only introduced his musical proposal to the world but also opened doors to the Billboard charts. Two years later, in 2019, with 19, his second album, Feid received his first nomination at the Latin Grammy Awards in the category of best urban music album, a recognition that validated his growing influence.

Biography

The evolution of his sound became more evident with Ferxxo (Vol. 1: M.O.R) in 2020. This album, which reached position 27 on Billboard’s *Top Latin Albums* chart, earned him another Latin Grammy nomination and solidified his presence in the scene. The single *Porfa*, a collaboration with Justin Quiles, was nominated for a Latin Grammy for best reggaeton performance. In 2021, Inter Shibuya - La mafia showcased a more mature side, with tracks like *Si tu Supieras*, which, in addition to receiving a nomination, helped the album win a Tu Música Urbano Award for album of the year. The mixtape Bahía Ducati, released that same year, became a meeting point for the urban scene, bringing together figures like J Balvin, Maluma, Nicky Jam, and Sech in a remix of *Porfa*.

Feid’s career has been marked by constant exploration and connection with his audience. In 2022, his album Feliz cumpleaños, Ferxxo, te pirateamos el álbum, released ahead of schedule, resonated strongly. That same year, collaborations like *Hey mor* with Ozuna and *Yandel 150* with Yandel achieved prominent positions on various charts. In 2023, *Classy 101* alongside Young Miko debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, demonstrating his global reach. More recently, in April 2024, he released the collaborative EP Manifesting 20-05 with Yandel. His seventh album, FERXXO VOL X: Sagrado, launched in June 2025, represents an introspective look at his roots and artistic evolution—a project he has been immersed in for several years. Throughout his career, Feid has shown a deep understanding of urban music, influenced by genres like hip hop and R&B, and has successfully integrated these influences into his signature sound.
