More about David Lee Roth
Biography
After his departure from Van Halen, David Lee Roth embarked on a solo career that, while having its moments of success, did not reach the same magnitude of fame. In 1985, he released the EP Crazy from the Heat, which included a cover of the Beach Boys classic, California Girls. His first full-length album, Eat 'Em and Smile, arrived in 1986, featuring collaborations with musicians like Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan. This album had a good commercial reception, although its impact in the United States did not eclipse that of Van Halen. Over the years, Roth attempted different projects, including a brief reunion with Van Halen in 1996 to record two songs. Later, in 2007, his return to the band for a tour was announced, once again taking the vocalist position until the group's dissolution in 2020. Parallel to his musical career, David Lee Roth has also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York and has explored various martial arts.
