Big Boy

Big Boy, whose real name is Gustavo Roy Díaz Sierra, is a Puerto Rican artist who has left a significant mark on Latin hip hop. His sound is characterized by the fusion of rhythms ranging from reggae to rap, being one of the pioneers in bringing these genres to Puerto Rico's music scene. Throughout his career, he has worked with influences from Panamanian artists, contributing to the evolution of a style that feels authentic and fresh. Songs like "Mis ojos lloran por ti" not only catapulted him to fame but also marked a milestone in the interpretation of Panamanian plena by a Puerto Rican artist.

His career began in 1993 with the release of his album Mr. Big, which included the hit single "Donde están", an adaptation in Spanish of Cutty Ranks' classic "Six million ways to die". This album had an immediate impact, selling 150,000 copies in just two months and establishing Big Boy as a prominent figure in urban music of the time. Each song on this album comes with an official music video, reflecting the attention given to the visual production of his music.
