About the album
The musical history of Patricia Sosa began in 1976, when she joined Nomady Soul, a band where her voice was heard in both English and Spanish. In those years, her presence was pioneering, challenging expectations in hard rock and performing international tours for six years. Then, in the 1980s, she became the lead singer of La Torre, a group with which she recorded six albums between 1982 and 1989. Her work with La Torre not only defined a style for women in rock but also led her to undertake two extensive tours of the Soviet Union in the late eighties. In 1985, the Konex Foundation awarded her the Diploma of Merit, recognizing her among the best voices in Argentine rock.
Her solo path took off in 1990 with the album Patricia Sosa, which achieved platinum status in just one week. This success led her to debut at the Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, initiating a series of tours throughout the country and across Latin America. The following year, she recorded a live album, and in 1992 she released Luz de mi vida. Thus, Suave y profundo, released in 1994, is inscribed as a continuation of this solid solo career, offering a repertoire that includes songs such as Corazones en llamas and Escríbeme, which reflect the artistic maturity achieved by Patricia Sosa during that period.
