Amanece

Marcos Brunet has been crafting his sound between two continents for years. He was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1984, but his career took off far from home, in Buenos Aires, where he studied at the Instituto Canzion between 2002 and 2004. Since then, he has lived in Córdoba, in central Argentina, and his music has spread across all of Latin America. His lyrics and melodies reflect that blend of Brazilian roots and the life he built in foreign lands, where he also worked as a teacher and pastor in churches like Rey de Reyes. The album Amanece, his most recent release, captures that essence: songs that sound like shared dawns, between acoustic guitars and choirs that feel like a hug.

About the album

Amanece, according to DoReSol

What stands out most in Amanece is its balance between the intimate and the congregational. Brunet isn’t aiming to fill stadiums with flashy effects; instead, he bets on clean arrangements where voice and instruments converse without rushing. Amanece isn’t just an album: it’s an invitation to start the day with music that doesn’t sound hurried. Among its tracks, Reis shines for its direct lyrics and melody that sticks from the first listen, while Ordem plays with a rhythm that recalls those moments when faith and music become one. The album also includes collaborations with artists from the Latin American Christian scene, something Brunet has been doing since Trazendo a Arca recorded Na Casa dos Profetas in 2012 with one of his songs.

Behind Amanece lies years of constant work. Brunet went through churches, classrooms, and studios before solidifying his style, always with a guitar in hand and the Bible close by. His father and mother, pastors in Rio de Janeiro, gave him his first stage; his brother Tiago, a writer, taught him to tell stories with words; and his brother Daniel, a journalist, reminded him of the importance of clear communication. Now, from Córdoba, he continues composing for an audience that follows him not because of trends, but because his songs resonate in everyday life.
