Jamiroquai sacó Revolution 1993 en 1993, como parte del primer disco de la banda, Emergency On Planet Earth. La canción salió en vinilo, pero no se vendió. El disco tiene la canción en ambas caras, sin lista de temas en la etiqueta. Grabaron entre 1992 y 1993, con productores como Jay Kay y Toby Smith. El estilo mezcla acid jazz, soul y funk. El álbum fue importante para la banda, que ya sacó otros sencillos como When You Gonna Learn? o Too Young To Die. Las letras de esos temas hablan de problemas como la contaminación o la deforestación. El disco tuvo éxito en Reino Unido, pero el siguiente álbum vendió más en Europa y Japón.
